The seats of the Floating Valves are generally manufactured with thermoplastic materials, according to the valve application. However, steels are also used too.
The thermoplastics most used in the production of seats are:
- PTFE CCG25% elastic material with good chemical resistance and temperature characteristics.
- PEEK resistant to high temperatures and high pressures.
- PCTFE (KEL-F) used in cryogenic valves up to -196 °C
- DEVLON V API used in valves up to 2500 series, elastic and resistant material.
